In the 1920s, the Dellach golf club started with a 9-hole course, which was expanded to an 18-hole golf course as early as 1950. Thus, it has been one of the best clubs in Europe for more than 90 years. The golf course is situated at the foot of the Pyramidenkogel in the midst of flower meadows, forest and lakeshore. The slightly undulating structure of the course has some slopes – so a golf buggy is a good choice.
Challenging fairways & greens
The Dellach golf course is one of the most challenging in Austria, length and accuracy are required! The courses lead through forest swathes, over streams and bushes, uphill and downhill. From hole 12 on, you can also admire fantastic views of the Wörthersee. Hole 16 is particularly “tricky”: a distance of 180 metres has to be mastered.

The best golfers are known to sit in the legendary “19th hole”, the clubhouse. Here, on the sun terrace with a view over the golf course or in the restaurant, you can reflect on the game you have just played. In a pleasant atmosphere you can enjoy delicious refreshments, a glass of wine and specialties from the golf restaurant kitchen.

In addition to the Dellach golf club, there are eleven other golf courses around the lake. Two of them are located in Slovenia but can be easily reached within an hour’s drive. Tournaments are held at almost all golf clubs, where you can take on the sporting challenge in convivial company. There are also numerous courses for beginners, where you can practice your first tee shots on the driving range.
